On April 1st, a group of 1,500 British Hindu students took to the streets of London in protest, expressing their frustration and resentment over the worship ban at Bhaktivedanta Manor. Nitesh Gor, the Chairman of Pandeva Sena, emphasized that they are British citizens who deserve equal recognition, just like their counterparts. He stated that the Hare Krishna Temple holds great significance for their inspiration and cultural identity. Gor added that they’ve been patient for too long, and now is the time to stand up and fight for their rights.
A petition, endorsed by major universities across the country, was presented to John Gummer. The petition urged for a resolution to the dispute to prevent Hindu youth from experiencing alienation in their own country.
