These issues included zoning conflicts, local opposition, and regulatory hurdles that impacted the temple’s establishment and operations. Despite these obstacles, the community persevered, demonstrating resilience and determination in upholding their religious and cultural space.

The Hare Krishna Temple Defense Movement (HKTDM) was established to support and protect Bhaktivedanta Manor from potential closures. Our campaign adopted the motto "Mam Anusmara Yudhya - Remember me and Fight," echoing Lord Krishna's message to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita (8:7).
